Alex (formerly Apriora) Pricing (Nov 2026)

Alex, formerly Apriora: its pricing page is a demo form, but its blog says annual contracts start at $36K. What that means, what to ask in a quote, and how Tracy's per-result price compares.

TLDR

  • Pick Tracy AI Interviewer if you want a video interview for every applicant without booking a call: any hour, no scheduling, questions that can be built from the CV, follow-ups on each answer, integrity signals for a reviewer, and API and MCP connections. A written assessment per question comes with its reasoning, and the price is set out in the Tracy section below.
  • Alex's pricing page is a demo form, but its own blog says annual contracts start at $36K. Below: what that figure does and does not tell you, the questions that turn a quote into a cost per interview, and what Tracy costs at 100, 500 and 1,000 results.

Fact-checked on 3 Nov 2026 against the vendors' own pages (see Sources).

Apriora Inc. does business as Alex, and apriora.ai now redirects to alex.com. If you searched for Apriora pricing, Alex is the product, and this page is about what it costs.

What does Alex cost?

Alex's pricing page does not say. It goes to a booking form that reads "Schedule a 30-minute demo with an AI expert." We found no per-interview price, no plan tiers and no free trial on that page on 3 Nov 2026.

Alex's blog does give a starting figure. A post dated 19 Feb 2026 says "Alex pricing starts at $36K annually for staffing firms, with custom enterprise pricing based on volume, integrations, and deployment complexity." A post dated 17 Feb 2026 says "Annual agreements starting at $36K based on interview volume and integration requirements," and a post dated 2 Mar 2026 says "Annual contracts from $36K (staffing); custom enterprise." All three are Alex's own blog, not its pricing page, and the figure is for staffing firms. The 17 Feb post names no buyer type, and we found no other figure.

The ROI calculator page adds a framing: Alex is "priced against headcount, not software." The calculator takes your annual hires, your recruiters and your cost per hire. Alex describes itself as handling outreach, screening, interviewing, verification and scheduling, which suggests a quote framed against recruiter time rather than an interview count.

What decides the quote?

Alex sells a bundle, so the quote depends on which parts you buy. Its pages describe interviews over video, phone, SMS and WhatsApp, a Coordinator for scheduling, Talent Match for past applicants in your ATS, and three fraud layers called Verify, Proctor and Identity. It also lists 33+ ATS integrations. Alex's blog says custom pricing depends on "volume, integrations, and deployment complexity." We could not find whether any of the parts above is priced separately.

That is the reason to ask the same questions of every vendor. Use this list in your demo call and get the answers in writing:

AskWhy it changes the cost
What is the unit: completed interview, seat, recruiter, requisition, hire or a flat fee?Units do not convert into each other without your volumes.
Does an interview count when the candidate starts and leaves, or never starts?Tracy never charges a session with no answers. Ask whether Alex does.
Are phone, SMS and WhatsApp in the base price or charged per message or minute?Channels can change what each interview costs.
Are Verify, Proctor, Identity, Coordinator and Talent Match included or extra? The fraud and scheduling layers may be separate line items.
What are the contract length, minimum volume and overage terms?Annual commitments and overage change the real price per interview.
Is there a trial or a paid pilot? You can test the report before you commit.

Convert whatever comes back into one number: the cost of a completed interview that a reviewer can use. That is the figure to compare across vendors.

What does Tracy cost?

A credit pays for one video interview slot of up to 20 minutes that ends in a result. Applicants start when they click the link, at any hour, so more applications do not mean more calendar work. With CV check on, Tracy adds 3 to 5 questions from each CV and the role's must-haves, and each follow-up depends on the answer before it. The result holds the recording, a transcript timed to it, a written assessment for each question with its reasoning, and integrity signals with their evidence. Interviews start from an invitation link, an apply page or a customer's own system, and Tracy offers API and MCP connections.

Tracy publishes its price. The first 3 results are free. After that, a result costs 1 credit for every started 20 minutes of the session, at $7 per credit. Credits never expire and there are no seats. A session with no answers is never charged.

The table assumes every session produces a result, all sessions run the same length, and the 3 free results are used once.

ResultsUp to 20 min (1 credit)21 to 40 min (2 credits)
100$679$1,358
500$3,479$6,958
1,000$6,979$13,958

Each figure is the number of results after the first 3, times the credits per result, times $7. For 100 results of up to 20 minutes that is 97 × $7 = $679.

Is Alex worth the quote?

That depends on how much of the recruiting workflow you want one vendor to run. Alex is the stronger purchase when you need WhatsApp, SMS or phone interviews, government ID checks, scheduling and ATS rediscovery together, because Tracy's pages describe none of them for the interview itself. A quote for the whole bundle can be fair against the recruiter time it replaces, and only a quote can show you.

Tracy is the better fit when the interview is the job: every applicant interviewed in depth, questions tailored to the CV, follow-ups, and evidence a reviewer can check, at a price you can check before you talk to anyone. Its pages describe no phone, SMS or WhatsApp channel, ID check or calendar step. If you need the surrounding workflow, price it separately or choose Alex.

The two prices do not share a unit, so we do not chart them. Alex's $36K is an annual contract that covers more than the interview. Tracy's $7 is one credit, and one credit buys up to 20 minutes of a session that produces a result. As arithmetic only, $36,000 divided by $7 is about 5,140 credits, which means about 5,140 paid sessions of up to 20 minutes, not counting the 3 free results. That says nothing about what Alex's contract includes. When you have a quote, divide it by the completed interviews it covers and set it against $7 per credit for the session length you expect. See Tracy vs Alex (formerly Apriora) for the full feature comparison, AI interview cost per candidate for published prices across the category, and Alex (formerly Apriora) alternatives if you want more options with a stated price. Other vendors that keep prices off the page are covered in HireVue pricing and HeyMilo pricing.

Questions

Does Alex (formerly Apriora) publish its pricing?
Not on its pricing page, which leads to a form for a 30-minute demo. Its blog says annual contracts start at $36K, for staffing firms in the 19 Feb and 2 Mar 2026 posts, with custom enterprise pricing; a 17 Feb post names no buyer type. We found no plan tiers or free trial on 3 Nov 2026.
Is Apriora the same company as Alex?
Yes. Apriora Inc. does business as Alex, and apriora.ai redirects to alex.com.
How does Alex frame its price?
Its ROI calculator page says Alex is "priced against headcount, not software." The calculator asks for your annual hires, your recruiters and your cost per hire.
What does Tracy cost compared with Alex?
Tracy's first 3 results are free, then $7 per credit, with 1 credit for each started 20 minutes of a session that produces a result. Alex's blog gives an annual contract from $36K, a different unit, so a direct comparison needs a quote.
What should I ask Alex in a quote?
Ask for the unit, what the $36K blog figure covers and whether it applies to you, what counts as a billable interview, whether phone, SMS and WhatsApp and the fraud and scheduling layers are included, the contract length and overage terms, and whether there is a trial or paid pilot.
