Fact-checked on 29 Oct 2026 against 15 sources (see Sources).
TLDR
- Submit faster and with proof: Tracy AI Interviewer lets applicants complete a browser-based first interview after hours, then gives recruiters a summary tied to the candidate's own words, video and transcript.
- Go deeper on skilled roles: Tracy follows up on vague answers, so clients can check how a candidate reasons. Recruiters can work from existing tools and pay per result.
- Choose HeyMilo for specific Bullhorn or JobDiva workflows, or a multilingual phone-screen tool for high-volume temp roles.

Why is Tracy the best AI interview for staffing agencies?
An AI interview for staffing agencies has to make you faster and more credible at once. In Robert Half's survey of more than 2,000 US hiring managers, 65% said AI-enhanced resumes make skills harder to verify, so a fast submission also needs proof behind it. Tracy is built for both.
Applicants interviewed overnight, so you submit first
Send the interview link to every applicant when the req opens. Each person opens it in the browser and joins with no sign-up, whenever it suits them, so the req you open at 7 pm can have finished interviews by morning without a recruiter on a single call. Tracy reports a 72% candidate completion rate across its interviews, so most applicants you invite finish the interview and reach your shortlist with answers.
The interview goes deep enough to submit on. Tracy runs natural two-way video interviews with role-specific questions and follows up on vague answers, so your recruiter reads how a data engineer handled late events instead of a yes to "do you know Spark". For engineers it can introduce a coding task and probe the trade-offs behind an answer, as our AI technical interviews guide shows. Tracy's interview integrity detection flags tab changes, abnormal eye tracking, live face detection, average delay before an answer, external screens and other unusual patterns, so your recruiter can check for a stand-in or a hidden helper before your agency's name goes on the submission. See how to detect AI cheating in interviews.
A summary you can forward, so the client trusts the submission

A hiring manager who gets "4.2 out of 5, strong communicator" has nothing to check. Tracy turns each interview into a readable summary "with the participant's own words attached", with every answer organised around the fields you define and the video and transcript included. Direct quotes give context, and the AI explains each answer score. You paste the strongest answers into your submission, and the client reads what the candidate said. Your recruiter makes the call on who to submit.
Example: part of a Tracy summary for a senior data engineer req, written up as a client submission. Illustration with test data, not a real candidate.
| Field | What the candidate said |
|---|---|
| Pipeline at scale | "We moved the nightly batch to streaming. Late events broke the daily totals, so I added a watermark and a backfill job." |
| Follow-up: trade-off | Asked what the watermark cost: "About 40 minutes of delay on the dashboard. Finance agreed, because the numbers stopped changing after they'd read them." |
| Availability | "Four weeks' notice. Looking for contract, remote." |
A fixed-question phone screen stops at the first row.
Inside the tools you already use, so nothing new to roll out
Tracy works inside tools your recruiters already use, such as Slack, WhatsApp and Workable, so they send interviews and read summaries where they already work. Tracy drafts the questions for you, or you add the questions that matter, so each client's req gets its own interview. Tracy is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, with the report on request at tracy@qode.world, which answers the security review your enterprise clients will run.

When should an agency pick another tool?
Tracy fits agencies that place skilled or technical people and need to prove depth to the client. These tools fit other desks better.
- HeyMilo. Its staffing page promises "Faster candidate screening + submission", it names Bullhorn, Avionté and JobDiva as integrations, and each interview produces "a scored candidate report with per-question rationale". No public price. Pick HeyMilo instead if you want scored reports written into Bullhorn or JobDiva; pick Tracy if the client wants the candidate's own words behind the submission.
- Carv. Voice AI that dials applicants, "Speaks 99 languages fluently", and logs notes and transcripts to your ATS; its staffing page shows Bullhorn and JobAdder. No public price. Pick Carv instead if you fill temp, logistics or contact center shifts by the hundred and a call that confirms availability is all the client needs.
- Ribbon. Built for "warehouse, retail, hospitality and healthcare roles", by voice. Its price is $499 a month for 100 interviews, billed annually, per Ribbon's own comparison page (its pricing page didn't load on 29 Oct). Pick Ribbon instead if you place hourly workers and want a fixed monthly cost before you talk to sales.
- Honeit. "An integrated talent delivery platform for recruiting, RPO, TA and staffing teams", with recruiter-led calls, AI notes and candidate presentations at $79 per recruiter seat a month. Pick Honeit instead if your recruiters want to keep running every screen call themselves.
- Alex. Lists RPO and staffing ("submit shortlists faster"), and reaches candidates by phone, video, SMS and WhatsApp in 30 languages. No public price. Pick Alex instead if you run RPO programs and want one tool across every channel.
- Tenzo. "Screens, interviews, and schedules candidates 24/7 in 40+ languages", with "40+ signals" for fraud and SOC 2 Type 2. No public price. Pick Tenzo instead if scheduling in many languages is your main bottleneck.
What does an AI interview for staffing agencies cost per candidate?
Agency volume swings by client, and many screens go nowhere, so cost per candidate matters more than the plan name.
- Tracy AI Interviewer: $7 per credit; one credit covers up to 20 minutes, so a first-round screen is one credit. A session with no answers is never charged and credits never expire, so credits bought for a busy month carry over to a quiet one. For agency volume, enterprise pricing is custom, based on your volume, as low as $1 per credit.
- Ribbon: $499 a month for 100 interviews, billed annually, per Ribbon's own comparison page. That's about $5 an interview if you use all 100.
- Honeit: the AI Pre-Screener costs $1.50 to $2 a credit, plus $79 or $129 per recruiter seat each month.
- HeyMilo, Alex, Tenzo and Carv don't publish prices. Ask each whether you pay for a no-show, and whether seats or a monthly minimum apply.
How did we rank the tools?
We picked AI interviewers that list staffing or RPO as a use and took only what each vendor publishes on its own pages. The ranking weights speed to submit, fit with many clients' systems, cost per candidate and a report the client can read, with the report weighted most for skilled placements. We make Tracy, and we didn't test the rivals' interviews ourselves. For in-house teams at large employers, see HireVue alternatives and our list of the best AI interview software for hiring teams.
Questions
Is interview AI staffing software worth it for a small agency? Yes, once applicants outnumber recruiter hours. A desk of three recruiters can't phone-screen 400 applicants for one req in a day. With Tracy every applicant can take the interview that evening, and you pay for results, not seats.
How do agencies use AI in the recruitment process without losing the client? Put the AI interview at the first round and keep your recruiters on the shortlist and the client conversation. Every applicant gets the same first interview with Tracy, and your recruiter decides who to submit from the answers.
Do AI interviewers integrate with Bullhorn? HeyMilo names Bullhorn as an integration, and Carv shows it among the systems it syncs with. Tracy connects through Zapier, Workable and HubSpot and works inside Slack and WhatsApp. Ask any vendor whether results write back to the candidate record or arrive as a link.
Can I send the AI interview report to my client? Yes. Tracy's summary has the candidate's own words attached, with direct quotes, the interview video and transcript, so you forward the answers that support your submission.
Will candidates think worse of my agency for using an AI interview? Candidates rate Tracy 4.7 out of 5 on average. Tell them up front that an AI runs the first interview and that a recruiter reviews every result. Our guide on how to screen candidates when there are too many applicants covers what candidates say they want from an AI interview.
