Connect Tracy at Qode to Zapier
Tracy at Qode is an app in Zapier. Sign in to it from Zapier, and your Zaps can react when someone opens, starts or finishes an interview, or invite people to one.
What you get
A Zap is an automatic step you set up in Zapier: when something happens in one app, it does something in another. With Tracy at Qode you get five triggers, which start a Zap, and one action, which a Zap does.
Triggers: a Zap starts when
- Invite Opened: a person opens the link in their interview invite.
- Interview Started: a person starts their interview.
- Interview Completed: a person finishes their interview.
- Interview Incomplete: a person leaves their interview before it is finished.
- Result Ready: the result of a person's interview is ready to read.
Action: a Zap can
- Invite Participant: invites one person to an interview. You pick the interview, give an email, and may add a name and your own reference for the person. Tracy emails them their personal link.
Every event carries the interview title, the person's name and email and the link to the interview. Interview Completed and Result Ready also carry the link to read the result. The reference you give an invitation, such as a CRM record ID, comes back on every event for that person, so the next step can find the right record.
Zapier looks for new events on its usual schedule, so a Zap starts a little after the event, not at the same second. Each event starts a Zap once.
Three Zaps to start with
- Result Ready, then Slack: when a person's result is ready, post their name, the interview title and the link to the result in a channel, so the team reads it the same day.
- Google Sheets, then Invite Participant: when a row is added to a sheet of candidates, invite that person to the screening interview, with the row's ID as the reference.
- Interview Incomplete, then Gmail: when a person leaves their interview before the end, email the recruiter the person's name and email and the link to the interview, so someone can follow up.
Before you start
- A Tracy at Qode account. If you are signed out, you are sent to sign in first.
- A Zapier account.
- An interview in Tracy at Qode. Invite Participant picks from your interviews, and the triggers start a Zap only when someone you invited does something in one.
Steps
- In Zapier, make a Zap, or open one you have, and choose Tracy at Qode when it asks you to pick an app.Or go straight to the app: Open Tracy at Qode in Zapier.
- When Zapier asks you to connect your Tracy at Qode account, click Sign in to Tracy at Qode.
- A Tracy at Qode page opens in a new window. If you are signed out, sign in first.

- Turn the Zap on.
Check it worked
In the Zap, run Zapier's test on the Tracy at Qode step. A trigger shows recent events of its kind, or a sample with the same fields when there are none yet. To test Invite Participant, use an email address of your own: the invite is real, and Tracy emails that address its personal link.
Once connected, Zapier is listed under Connected AI apps on your account in Tracy at Qode. Revoke it there and Zapier stops at once.
If it does not work
- Zapier says the connection expired or asks you to reconnect: you may have revoked it, or Tracy at Qode has not heard from Zapier for 60 days. In the Zap's Tracy at Qode step, reconnect and click Sign in to Tracy at Qode again.
- The Tracy at Qode page does not open: allow pop-up windows for Zapier in your browser, then click Sign in again.
- Invite Participant says the invite is held: the interview is paused or the credits are used up. Resume the interview or add credits, then invite the person again.
- A Zap does not start: check that it is on, then give Zapier a few minutes to look for the event.
