Use Tracy at Qode with Workable

Keep your candidates in Workable and invite them to a Tracy at Qode interview without leaving the chat. Connect both to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask for the people you want and for the interview to send them.

Step 1: Add Tracy at Qode

Add Tracy at Qode to the AI app you chat in. Each app has its own steps:

  • Add Tracy at Qode to Claude
  • Add Tracy at Qode to ChatGPT

Step 2: Add the Workable connector

Workable calls its connector the Workable MCP server. Add it to the same app you added Tracy at Qode to, with this name and address:

Workable says it is included on all plans at no additional cost. You sign in with your Workable account, and what the chat can do in Workable follows your access there.

In Claude

  1. Open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Workable MCP server and paste the address.
  4. Click Add, then connect and sign in with your Workable account when Claude opens the sign-in.

On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first. Those steps are on the Claude guide.

In ChatGPT

  1. Go to ChatGPT Plugins.
  2. Select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Enter the name Workable MCP server and paste the address as the Server URL.
  4. For Authentication, choose OAuth.
  5. Review the risk warning and select I understand and want to continue.
  6. Select Create as a plugin.
  7. Install the plugin, then start a new conversation. When ChatGPT opens the Workable sign-in, sign in with your Workable account.

If you do not see Add custom MCP server, the ChatGPT guide says how to turn on Developer mode.

Workable's pages give no steps for Claude or ChatGPT in particular. The clicks above are the ones on our own guides for adding a connector by name and address, so if your app shows different names, follow what it shows.

Step 3: Check both are on

  1. Start a new chat with both Tracy at Qode and Workable MCP server turned on. If your app lets you choose connectors for each chat, turn on both.
  2. Ask which jobs are open:

  3. If the chat lists your jobs, Workable is connected. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with your Workable account. If it cannot reach Workable, go back to step 2.

The prompts in the next step use Tracy at Qode as well, and it shows you who it would invite before anything is emailed.

Step 4: Ask for both in one chat

With both connected, start a new chat and send one of these. Have an interview set up in Tracy at Qode first; ask the chat to set one up if you have none. Tracy at Qode shows you who it would invite and waits for your approval before anything is emailed.

List the candidates shortlisted for our Customer Success Manager job in Workable. Then invite them all to my customer success interview in Tracy at Qode with invite_participants, and show me the preview before anything is sent.

  • Workable shares each candidate's name and email, which is what Tracy at Qode needs to invite them.
  • Interview results stay in Tracy at Qode: ask the chat to read them from there.
