Add Tracy at Qode to Microsoft Copilot Studio
Copilot Studio connects an agent to Tracy at Qode as an MCP tool, so the agent can set up an interview and read its results when you ask for them in a chat.
Server address
Paste this as the Server URL. When Copilot Studio asks for a name, use Tracy at Qode.
https://tracyinterview.ai/mcpBefore you start
- Copilot Studio supports the Streamable transport for MCP servers, and Tracy at Qode uses it.
- Copilot Studio reaches an MCP server through Power Platform connectors, so a data policy that governs connectors governs this server too. If adding it is blocked, ask whoever manages your organization's data policies.
Add the MCP server
- Open your agent in Copilot Studio and go to its Tools page.
- Select Add a tool > New tool > Model Context Protocol. The MCP onboarding wizard opens.
- Fill in Server name with Tracy at Qode, Server description with a line about what it does, and Server URL with the server address above. A description to use:
Runs AI interviews, on video or audio, for screening candidates, customer and user research, reference checks and employee check-ins.
- For authentication, choose OAuth 2.0, then Dynamic discovery as the Type. Tracy at Qode registers clients and publishes its sign-in endpoints for discovery, so there is no client ID, client secret or URL to enter.
- Select Create, then Next. The Add tool dialog opens.
- Select Create a new connection. If it opens the Tracy at Qode sign-in, finish it there and approve access.
- Select Add to agent.
Microsoft's own steps are in its guide to connecting an agent to an existing MCP server.
Sign in and approve
You sign in on a Tracy at Qode page, with your Tracy at Qode account. It asks for one permission, named tracy, and acts only on your own account. What that covers is on the privacy page.
A first prompt to try
With the tool added, start a new chat with your agent and send:
Set up a customer discovery interview for people who cancelled in the last month, then give me the public link.
Check it worked
- Open your Tracy at Qode account and find Connected AI apps. The app is listed, with the time you connected it under Connected.
- Open the agent's Tools page. Tracy at Qode is listed there as a tool. Select it to open its settings: the Tools section lists the names and descriptions of the MCP tools it offers. Then start a new chat with the agent.
- Send the first prompt above.
- Tracy at Qode answers with a draft: the title, the questions and the result fields. Nothing is created until you approve the draft, so read it, ask for changes and say yes when it is right.
If it does not work
- Tracy at Qode is not on the agent's Tools page. Go through the steps above again and finish with Add to agent. A tool deleted from the Tools list disappears from the agent, so it is added the same way.
- A data policy blocks the tool. Copilot Studio shows a blocked tool as disabled in the Add tool panel, and you cannot select it. Select the information icon next to it to see which policy restriction applies, then ask your administrator. A data policy that governs Power Platform connectors governs this server as well.
- The sign-in did not open or was not finished. In the Add tool dialog, select Create a new connection and sign in to Tracy at Qode again. If no new app shows under Connected AI apps in your account afterwards, the sign-in was not finished.
- The agent is not using the tool. Open the agent's Tools page and select Tracy at Qode. Turn the Enabled toggle on and select Save. Under Details, select Allow agent to decide dynamically when to use the tool, so the agent can call it on its own. If you turned off Allow all in the Tools section, each tool there has its own toggle, so check they are on.
- Access was removed. If you revoked Copilot Studio under Connected AI apps, it stopped at once. Connect it again: in the Add tool dialog, select Create a new connection and sign in.

Remove access
To cut Copilot Studio off, open your account, find Connected AI apps and revoke the connection. It stops at once, and you can connect it again later. Stuck? Write to support.
